House in Sweden
Göteborg Landvetter Airport is just 10 minutes by car from the house — the closest and most convenient airport. Renting a car right at the airport is easy.
- ⚠️Our access road is a several-kilometre narrow road — drive carefully
- 🦌Watch out for deer and moose which often cross the path
A taxi from Landvetter Airport costs about 200–250 SEK and is a safe, easy way to reach the house.
The closest bus stop is on Skårtorpsvägen, just off the main road next to our asphalt road exit. Bus no. 611 takes you to Landvetter centre in 9 minutes; from there change for Göteborg (15–20 more minutes). Timetables at www.vasttrafik.se.
All necessary cooking utensils, plus spices, pepper, salt, olive oil, soy sauce and vinaigrette. An automatic Jura coffee machine, coffee and leaf teas (in the black containers on the shelves) are for your use — the display may show instructions to empty the container, add beans or add water. Plates and glasses are in the kitchen island, on the shelves, and in the dining room chest of drawers.
Hand soap and shower gel/shampoo are provided. Extra paper towels and toilet paper are on the shelves in the laundry room; towels are in the bathroom on the glass shelves behind the door. For any cuts, use the First Aid Kit in the small cupboard in the laundry room.
Smart IP-TV with international channels and Netflix, plus an Apple TV and Denon audio equipment with classic CDs — connect your phone via USB. Downstairs in the small bedroom, and upstairs in the half-open room, there are computer screens, keyboard and mouse for Apple computers.
Use the metal fire ball on the lower patio for a small fire — wood is near the tool shed. Always close the ball when burning to avoid sparking a forest fire. For a real bonfire in the forest, there’s a spot 5 minutes’ walk away, with wood provided there too.
Upper terrace: table, chairs and a Weber gas grill (cover it when not in use, especially in rain). Lower terrace: a pavilion with leisure furniture — cushions are in the chest behind it (bring them in if it rains hard). A herbarium by the green tool shed has chives, oregano, thyme, mint and rosemary — help yourself, and please water them with the rainwater bucket nearby. Garden lights come on/off automatically — switches marked red are best left untouched (connected to an external app).
You can go here in flip-flops and swimsuits! The first beach with a pier and boat is right in front of the house — shared with a few close neighbours. The paddle boat is moored a few metres away at a small sauna house. In case of rain, there’s a bucket and spatula in the boat to bail water. Boat lock keys are in the cupboard by the entrance door.
Reached via a forest path starting on the right of the asphalt road at the back of the house. Rocky base with chairs and a small table, and you enter the water from a flat rock. Wild and quiet — you probably won’t meet anyone here. Perfect for early mornings, late afternoons, and watching the sunset. Look for blueberry bushes along the path!
Two marked routes: a short 2 km trail perfect for a morning walk, and a longer 9 km trail around the lake. Part of it joins the “Vildmarksleden” trail, which connects to the famous 300 km “Bohusleden” route.
Have a nice stay! 🌲
